CLARA JUNG
Principal Designer
Clara Jung began her career as a corporate lawyer, and while the work never satisfied her creative side, it gave her a rigor and attention to detail she still brings to every project. She founded Banner Day Interiors to create homes that pair quiet sophistication with warmth and a touch of whimsy, shaped by thoughtful details that reflect how her clients actually live.
Her work has appeared in Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, Sunset, and Rue. She was named a House Beautiful Next Wave Designer in 2022 and a Next Wave Kitchen Expert in 2025, a Traditional Home Rising Star of Design in 2025, and one of The Expert's Top 40 in both 2025 and 2026.
Originally from Los Angeles, Clara came north for Cal and fell for the charm of Berkeley. After graduating, she taught English with the Peace Corps in Nepal, then survived Michigan winters at the University of Michigan Law School before returning to a Bay Area that felt almost balmy. Off the clock, she loves wine tasting, snowboarding, and trying to get current on her New Yorkers.

By working in collaboration with architects, builders, and skilled craftspeople, our experienced and highly-organized team will oversee every aspect of the design process. We'll select architectural details and finishes, furnishings, fabrics, accessories, and the all of the custom details that are uniquely chosen for your space.
In our most extensive service, it’s best that we are brought on the project in the earliest stages. We’ll collaborate with architects on the design and floor plan to create a space that is intuitive to your lifestyle and inspired by your aesthetic.
For select commercial clients, we seek to translate a brand identity into a retail or restaurant space that serves to fulfull the clients' needs while inspiring engagment.
